Aaron B.B. Williams Sr.

Mr. Aaron B.B. Williams Sr., age 82, of Madison, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Beatrice M. Williams; eight daughters, Florine Jackson-House, Gloria Dean Jones, and Barbara Walls, all of Forrest City, Pricsilla Graham and Doreen Anderson, both of Madison, Marice McGhee of West Memphis, Lucy Wallace of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Bessie "Linda" Bradley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Aaron Williams and Lonnie Williams, both of Madison and Terry Williams of Forrest City; four sisters, Pinkie Mae Brandon of Chicago, Flossie Mae Champ and Jane Ella Rogers, both of Forrest City and Florene Johnson of Little Rock; three brothers, Willie B. Williams and Eddie Williams, both of Forrest City, and Ocie Williams of Madison; 45 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John's M.B. Church in Madison. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Madison Light M.B. Church with Rev. James Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery under the direction of M.J. Edwards Funeral Home of Memphis.


Doug Beggs

Mr. Doug Beggs, age 58, of Pangburn, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, in Little Rock.

Mr. Beggs, born Dec. 1, 1945 in Blytheville, was the son of Roy and Christine Rowlett Beggs. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Lodge #198 in Forrest City. He worked for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for 20 years in Fisheries and Wildlife management.

Mr. Beggs is survived by his wife, Judy Green Beggs; a son, Steve Flowers of Colt; four daughters, Debbie Brickey of Palestine, Kathy Chism of West Memphis, Maria Smith of Pangburn and Robbin Wilson of Wynne; his mother and step-father Max Rothe of Letona; a sister, Patricia Casey of Forrest City and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one grandchild, Todd Smith Jr.

Visitation for Mr. Beggs will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
