Mr. David Coleman, age 43, of Forrest City, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Coleman was born Aug. 22, 1961, in Forrest City, the son of Hollis Coleman and Ina Tipton Coleman. He made his home in Forrest City for all of his life and had worked in construction.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his father of Forrest City; two brothers, Keith Coleman of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Bobby Coleman of Blytheville.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 4:30 p.m., at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. James Dean officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Grady Leopard, age 84, of Madison, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at the Winston County Medical Center in Mississippi.
Mr. Leopard was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Leopard of Madison; a sister, Ernestine Nowell of Philadelphia, Miss.; one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services for Mr. Leopard will be held on Friday, July 16, 2004, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of John E. Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. John Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County Mississippi.
Mrs. Leona Sulcer, age 83, of Palestine, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Wynne.
Mrs. Sulcer was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Madison, the daughter of Archie Reynolds and Mattie Taylor. She made her home in Palestine for all of her life and was a housewife.
Mrs. Sulcer married Talmadge Sulcer in 1937, and he preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by five daughters, Carolyn Cooper of Palestine, Marilyn Thompson of Caldwell, Maxine Emerson of Bella Vista, Eulene Harbin of Texarkana and Nancy Bennett of Longmont, Colo.; a sister, Imogene Poland of Memphis; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Sulcer will be held on Friday, July 16, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Palestine. Graveside services will follow at Bell Cemetery in Palestine with Bro. Bud Davis officiating.
