Margaret Eula Haynes Anderson

Mrs. Margaret Eula Haynes Anderson, age 95, of Forrest City, died Friday July 23, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Anderson, the daughter of Henry and Olive Nora Haynes, was a retired schoolteacher. She taught school in the Mays Chapel School near Parkin. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Lindauer Road Church of Christ.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by one daughter, Margaret McNair of Forrest City; a brother, Mark Haynes of Brinkley; two grandchildren, all of Forrest City and three great-grandchildren, all of Forrest City. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Clark L. Anderson; a brother Dalton Haynes and two sisters, Alma Johnson and Christina Louise Haynes.

Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Chapel with burial following in Oaklawn Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.


Jack Pate

Mr. Jack Pate, age 69, of Colt, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Pate was born May 7, 1935, in Parkin, the son of Virgil Angus Pate and Ida Bell Houge Pate. He lived in Cross and St. Francis counties for all of his life and was a member of The Original Church of God in Colt.

Mr. Pate is survived by three sisters, Emmaline Holland, Nell Dean Watlington and Maudie May McKenzie all of Colt. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ruben Pate.

Visitation for Mr. Pate will be held on Monday, July 26, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne, with Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be made to The Original Church of God, Colt, AR 72326.
