Clark County will get another shot at Little Rock Junior Deputy tonight when the two teams square off in the Babe Ruth 13-year-old State Tournament championship game at the Sports Complex.
The title game will start at 6 p.m.
Tuesday night, Pine Bluff eliminated Sheridan in loser's bracket action to earn the right to face Clark County, a 7-1 loser to Junior Deputy in Monday's winner's semifinal game.
Clark County eliminated Pine Bluff 7-6 in Tuesday's late game.
The host team Forrest City 13s, third-place finishers at the District 7 Tournament two weeks ago, were eliminated from the tournament on Monday when Sheridan rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 6-5 win.
In other NEA tournament action the Jonesboro 13-year-old All-Stars fell 4-3 to Paragould Monday in the losers' bracket finals of the Babe Ruth state tournament, to finish third in the tournament.
Pocahontas knocked Jonesboro from the 12-year-old state tournament with a 5-2 losers' bracket victory Monday. Jonesboro finished fourth in the tournament.
Two Springdale pitchers combined to no-hit the Jonesboro 10-year-old All-Stars 13-1 in an elimination game of the state tournament Tuesday.
Jonesboro, 20-4, finished fourth in the tournament.
After a 3-2 loss to Batesville in the quarterfinals, the Jonesboro 9-year-old All-Stars defeated Van Buren 10-9 in the losers' bracket to take a fourth-place finish in the state tournament on Tuesday.
Jonesboro exited the tournament with a 12-0 loss to Springdale.
Calvary Christian School will hold athletic physicals Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 3 p.m., at the offices of Dr. Sudhir Kumar at 1801 Lindauer in Forrest City.
Cost per student is $10 and Dr. Kumar's office has requested cash payment only.
All students who plan to participate in any of the school's extra-curricular sports activities during the 2004-05 school year must have a phhysical before they will be allowed to participate.
Students also have the option to obtain physicals from their own personal family physician.
Mount Calvary M.B. Church will host a co-ed softball tournament, Saturday, Aug. 7, at Atkins Park in Marianna.
The tournament will begin at 8 a.m., and will continue until a champion is decided.
Registeration deadline is Friday, July 16.
