Daniel O'Neal Duvall

Mr. Daniel O'Neal Duvall, age 58, of Heth, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at his home. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight and a member of the Teamsters Local #667.

Mr. Duvall is survived by a daughter, Shelli M. Duvall of Heth; a son, Greg Duvall of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sisters, Doris J. Fogarty and Kathryn A. Peacock both of Heth; a brother, Gorden Duvall of Jacksonville; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held graveside at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion on Monday, June 21, 2004, at 2 p.m. The Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis was in charge of all arrangements.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis National Research Foundation or the American Heart Association.


Mr. Andrew 'Tink' Jones

Mr. Andrew 'Tink' Jones of Forrest City, passed away, June 19, 2004, at his home, he was 76. Tink was born March 28, 1928, in the Salem Community to Julius and Myrtle Jones and had lived in this area all of his life. Tink worked as a farmer and a truck driver before serving the community by operating Jones Wrecker Service for the past thirty-two years. He had been recognized for his 'exceptional work' by the Arkansas State Troopers - Troop D.

Tink married Mary Alice Partain in 1968, and she preceded him in death in 1991. He married Merita 'Rita' Clark in 1995 and she survives him along with two sons; Larry Jones of Palestine and Allen Jones of Caldwell, one daughter, Donna Elam of Chelsea, Oklahoma, two step-sons; Steve Golden and Jamie Golden, both of Forrest City, one step-daughter, Karen Golden of Forrest City and Corpus Christi, Texas, two brothers; Billy Joe Jones of Forrest City, and Stanley Jones of Goodwin, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Julius Jones and Myrtle French Jones, one daughter, Sherry Kay Jones, one sister, Dorothy Griffin, and one grandchild, Christy Gale Jones.

Services for Mr. Jones will be held at the Salem United Methodist Church, 10:00 A.M., Tuesday with burial in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Aaron Gray Perry

Mr. Aaron Gray Perry, age 82, of Palestine, died Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Crestpark Retirement Inn. Mr. Perry was born Sept. 2, 1921, in Lepanto, the son of Watt Thomas Perry and Esther Alma George Perry.

Mr. Perry was a retired farmer, an active member of the Civil Air Patrol, a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Old Fashion Baptist Church in Palestine.

Mr. Perry is survived by his son, Kenneth "Kenny" Perry of Colt; a daughter, Frances Mathews of Palestine; a brother, Charles Perry of Hendersonville, Tenn.; three sisters, Catherine Shipley of Forrest City, Elizabeth McCafferty of Aubrey and Frankie Ann Thomas of Marion; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Perry in 1984, and William Perry in 1994; a grandson in 1977; a great-grandson in 2001; two sisters, Margaret Smith and Barbara Perry; and two brothers, Franklin Perry and Watty Perry Jr.

Visitation for Mr. Perry will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home, with Bro. Eric Carpenter and Bro. Charlie Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery in Palestine.
