Ms. Janet Marie Horton Grady, age 51, of Forrest City, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Ms. Grady was born July 11, 1952, the daughter of Hermon Horton and Milrean Cook Horton. She is survived by her mother of Forrest City; two sons, Michael Ray Horton and Nick Grady; a daughter, Cynthia Reed; three brothers, Steven G. Horton, Michael A. Horton and Rodney D. Horton and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Ms. Grady will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Opal Rodery, age 84, of Carryville, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born on April 29, 1920, in Carryville, the daughter of Alex and Ercria Lee Butler Madison.
Mrs. Rodery married Floyd Rodery in 1941 and he preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Regina Crittenden of Piggott, Ava Hankins of Forrest City and Rebecca Riney of Fenton, Mo.; two sons, Rick Rodery of Piggott and Steve Rodery of Marion; a sister, Sue Cole of Piggott; a brother, Wendell Madison of Kirkland, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Floyd Alan Rodery; a brother Willard Madison and two sisters, Ruby Wellman Case and Lucille Blackburn.
Visitation for Mrs. Rodery will be held on Friday, June 25, 2004, at 6 p.m., at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel of Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home with Richard Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Piggott Cemetery.
