Mrs. Gladys Ruth Berry, age 86, of Memphis and formerly of Forrest City, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at the Heartland of Memphis Nursing Home.
Mrs. Berry, born June 8, 1918, in Parkin, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hairold. She lived in St. Francis County for most of her life and was owner/operator of Berry's Drive Inn. Mrs. Berry was also a member First United Methodist Church in Forrest City.
In 1939, Mrs. Berry married William Joseph Berry and he preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by one son, William Joseph Berry Jr. of Cordova, Tenn.; one daughter, Linda Ruth; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services for Mrs. Berry will be held at 11 a.m. on
Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at Forrest Park Cemetery under the directions
of Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Christine Jumper, age 84, of Palestine, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jumper are incomplete at this
time. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Autumn Nicole Webb, infant, of Marianna, died Saturday June 26, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Ms. Webb was born June 26, 2004, and was the daughter of Shane Webb and Sharon Stroud, both of Marianna. She is survived by her parents; a brother, Shane Webb Jr. of Marianna; a half brother, Diego Martinez of Washington; and grandparents Mary Jane Stroud of Marianna, Kenneth Edward Stroud of Brinkley and Donald and Judy Webb of Aubrey.
Graveside funeral services for Ms. Webb will be held at 2 p.m.
on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at LaGrange Cemetery in LaGrange
with Rev. J.E. Hughes officiating. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home
of Marianna is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nadine Laws Williford, age 83, of Forrest City, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at her daughter's home in Pell City, Ala.
Mrs. Williford, born June 8, 1921, in Forrest City, was the daughter of Garlin Sheperd and Maude Dennis Sheperd and lived in Forrest City for most of her life. She was a housewife and a member of Village Creek Baptist Church.
In 1945, Mrs. Williford married Robert Lavoyde Laws and he preceded her in death in 1977. She married Oliver Williford in 1984 and he survives her along with one son, Randy Laws of Forrest City; one daughter, Debbie Mosley of Pell City, Ala.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Williford on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City.
