Delta Breeze finished second in the 12-under fast-pitch division Saturday at the district softball tournament played at the Wynne Sports Complex.
Delta lost to the Marion Lady Rebels in the finals, but qualified for the state tournament to be played June 25-27, at Bentonville.
Brinkley's Cajun Express and Marion's Southern Heat also qualified for state play.
The Delta Breeze team, made up of Forrest City and Wynne girls, plays from the Forrest City 12-under fast-pitch league.
Forrest City Pizza Inn was knocked out of the 16-under fast pitch bracket early, but with only four teams entered into the division, all four teams may advance to the state tournament at Benton, if they choose.
Pizza Inn lost to the Marion Angels Saturday morning and was eliminated by Bobby Henard Tire Service from Brinkley later in the day in the double-elimination style bracket.
The Angels went on to defeat the Henard team in the finals.
Forrest City Walker Insurance, unbeaten in league play at Forrest City, finished 1-2 in the 10-under slow pitch bracket on Saturday and failed to qualify for state play.
Walker defeated Wynne's Clark Appraisal 10-9 in Saturday's first game but couldn't get past Wynne Producers and was eliminated by the Clark team in the loser's bracket.
Walker stands at 11-0 in the 10-under league at Forrest City but is 12-2 overall for the year.
Forrest City Bank fell to Wynne Giffin's and Clark in their two games on Saturday.
Clark went on to win the 10-under district title while Producers finished second and Giffin's was third. All three teams advance to the state tournament, to be played June 25-27, at Sylvan Hills.
In the 12-under slow pitch bracket, Wynne's Johnny's Pro Auto claimed the title with First National Bank-Wynne finishing second and West Helena Rotary finishing third. All three advance to the state tournament at Sylvan Hills.
Wynne Mohr Sports took the 16-under slow pitch district title, defeating West Helena's Dr. Lance in Saturday's final.
Wynne Regions Bank and West Helena Flowers Construction finished third and fourth. All four advance to the state tournament at Sylvan Hills.
Finally, in the 14-under fast pitch bracket, the Wilson Comets held off Marion's Lady Braves to win the district title.
The Wynne Dirty Soxx finished third and all three advance to the state tournament, to be played at Cabot.
In 10-under slow pitch league play at Forrest City Friday night, it was Walker Insurance pushing their league mark to 11-0 with an 8-7 win over Southern Furniture. Walker leads the National Division of the league while Southern at 7-4, remains in second place.
Forrest City Bank improved to 10-1 in the league and remained in first place in the American Division with a 12-6 win over Sanyo.
Food Giant downed Dr. Schwartz 10-8 to improve to 7-4, keeping the team in second place behind Forrest City bank in the American Division.
B&E Tire slipped past Children's Clinic 11-10 in the final game played Friday.
Vaccaro had the chance to move into second place in the Minor (pitching machine) League Friday night, but failed in their bid, losing to Ridout 8-7.
Vaccaro slips to 8-3 for the year and remains in third place in the league standings.
The Arkansas Electric-Lions Club game was postponed and will be rescheduled.
In the Bambino 9-10 League, Leslie Construction improved to 10-1 for the year by turning back Giffin's 16-1 while First National Bank edged Food Giant 11-10 Friday night.
FNB improves to 8-2 for the year and are holding down second place.
Sanyo stayed in a tie for third with an 11-6 win over Taco Bell and Pearson was awarded a forfeit win over Joey's Muffler.
Youthful anglers throughout the area will have the chance to learn all they want to know about fishing in he Delta and more beginning Tuesday, June 15.
Specialists with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will conduct a three-day fishing clinic for anglers, ages 10-12, and a one-day clinic for young anglers, ages 6-9 at East Arkansas Community College (EACC).
Instruction and activities will include take-home crafts, lures, tackle, equipment, fishing biology, fish habitats and water safety.
Kids (ages 10-12) will learn basic instruction in the classroom on Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16, and then will be able to try out their fishing expertise on a fully stocked lake. On the last day of camp, the anglers will partner with the younger anglers.
Kids (ages 6-9) will enjoy a morning of classroom instruction and an afternoon of fishing, Thursday, June 17, on a fully stocked lake with their older mentors.
Students will need to bring a sack lunch each day. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

The annual T-Ball League postseason tournament is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 15, at the Sports Complex.
The tournament will follow a little different format this year. Instead of playing a full schedule of tournament games on Saturday, the teams will play first-round games Tuesday and Friday night and second-round winner and loser's bracket games will be played next week.
The tournament will run through Monday, June 28, with the finals being played at 7 p.m.
All weeknight games will be played at 6 p.m.
During the regular season, the league does not keep score and is used as an instructional league for the youths, ages 4-6, who are involved.
However, score will be kept during the post season tournament.
Also this week, several leagues will be playing makeup games as the season enters its final playing dates.
The Bambino 11-12 League, the Junior Babe Ruth League and the
girls' 12-under and 16-under teams will be playing make up games
tonight and Thursday night at the complex.
JONESBORO -- Memphis' Donny Forsyth won the Iron Will XC Triathlon Sunday for the second year in a row at Craighead Forest Park.
Forsyth, a regular in the annnual Mightmite Triathlon in Forrest City, held off Boomer Leopold of Germantown, Tenn., who finished just 30 seconds behind Forsyth. Forsyth finished in a time of one hour, 18 minutes, 17 seconds.
The event was comprised of a half-mile swim, 10-mile bike and 5-kilometer run.
This is the first year the triathlon has been associated with the Xterra point series. The series is made up of 40 different races across the country, with eight separate regions. Competitors accumulate points to reach the nationals in Hawaii.
Jonesboro's Lucia Colbert, another Mightymite regular and former winner, finished first among the female participants. Pam Tate, of Cordova, Tenn., finished second.
This year's Iron Will saw 45 entries.
The 21st running of the Mightmite Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, July 17, and is expected to draw about 300 for the swim, bike ride and run.
Forrest City elementary students attended a four-day basketball camp last week at Mustang Arena. Approximately 20 elementary girls attended the morning session while close to 30 boys filled the arena for the afternoon session.
Individual awards for the elementary boys were given to LeCharles Boyd who won the '1-on-1' competition in Division 1 and Michael Ludwig who won the Division 2 competition. Jaylen Lofton was the Division 1 runner-up while Marcus Clanton was runner-up in Division 2. Desmond Shaw won the elementary boys Free Throw Shooting competition while Desmond Piggee was named the camp MVP Lady Mustang.
Camp awards were given to Yentariun Becton (free throw shooting); Deidre Sparks (1-on-1); Mary Burks (layups and dribbling); Joy Stevens (offense and shooting); De'dra Johnson (defense); Kierra Robinson, Joycelynne Williams, Burks, Nikki Derrick, Sparks, Chassidy Hurst and Danielle Allbright (sportsmanship); the Lady Firebirds-Stevens, Keuntae Finley, De'dra Johnson, Robinson, Becton and Ashley Smith (5-on-5); Jatoria Hawkins, Felice Lewis and Derrick (most improved); Williams, Robinson, Sarah May, Tianna Keith, Stevens and Burks (hustle) and Ebony Davis (participation). Burks was named the recipient of the Lady Mustang Award.
The camps continue this week for the junior high boys and girls.
