Mrs. Thelma Sossaman Lockhart, age 93, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004.
Mrs. Lockhart was born Oct. 27, 1910, in Lonoke, the daughter of Benson Sossaman and Beulah Rogers Sossaman Edgar. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, now known as Fellowship Bible Church.
Mrs. Lockhart married Madison King Lockhart in 1928, and he preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by two sons, James Madison Lockhart of Farmington and Vernon Bernard Lockhart of Forrest City; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Lockhart will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Dan Gauw officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the Fellowship Bible Church.
