Mrs. Marian Powell Fitzgerald, age 82, died June 1, 2003. She was born Jan. 21, 1911, in Conway, the daughter of L.Claud Powell and Laura Pearl Powell. She was a Jehovah's Witness since 1952.
Mrs. Powell is survived by a son, William Greer Fitzgerald of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Mary Duke Lowman of Nashville, Tenn.; two half sisters, Patricia A. Griffith of Forrest City and Martha A. Blancke of Hot Springs; two half brothers, Robert D. Powell of Warren and William A. Powell of Brighton, Mich.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Duke Fitzgerald, three brothers and three sisters.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Marianna Memorial Park at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2004. V.B. Rose will conduct the service.
