Mrs. Ernestine Darnall Runyan, age 91, of Little Rock and formerly of Forrest City, died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Presbyterian Village in Little Rock.
Mrs. Runyan was born June 11, 1912, in Aubrey, the daughter of Dr. Ernest Darnall and Sallie Williams Darnall. She was a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Forrest City for over 68 years where she served as an Elder, president of the Women of the Church and Circle Chairman at various times. She was also a member of the Musical Coterie.
Mrs. Runyan is survived by two daughters, Sara Jane Douglass of Little Rock and Ann Thompson of Olive Branch, Miss.; a sister, Sara D. McGee of Conway; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Runyan.
Graveside services for Mrs. Runyan will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Forrest City. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2004, at 11 a.m., at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Shauna Silmon and Rev. Lisa Anderson officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
