Jeweldine "Jodie" Bryant

Ms. Jeweldine "Jodie" Bryant, age 85, of Memphis, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis.

Ms. Bryant was born June 6, 1918, in Palestine, the daughter of Marvin Bryant and Willie Mae Levitt Bryant. She had lived in Memphis since 1942 and was retired from Carrier Air Conditioning Company since 1980. She was a member of the International Twin's Association and a member of the Church of Christ in Memphis.

Ms. Bryant is survived by her twin sister, Ms. Geraldine "Jerri" Bryant of Memphis; several cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Bryant were held on Monday, March 22, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial followed in Bell Cemetery.


Rexall Jones

Mr. Rexall Jones, age 95, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Jones, born Oct. 6, 1908 in Madison, was the son of Willis Jackson Jones and India Taborn Jones. He was a retiree from Rock Island Railroad where he served as a maintenance worker.

Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter, Nancy J. Ingram of Palestine; three grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Jones will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2004, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Antioch M.B. Church in Palestine with Rev. Emery Washington Sr. officiating.
