Mr. Freddie Joe Willis, age 49, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Cross Ridge Hospital in Wynne.
Mr. Willis was born Sept. 23, 1954, in Forrest City, the son of Fred Willis and Mary Adams Willis. He lived in Forrest City for all of his life, was a barber, a former iron worker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Willis married Debbie Hollis Willis in 1990, and she survives him along with his parents, both of Forrest City and two sisters, Lynda Boydston of Southlake, Texas and Vicki Ragin of Columbia, S.C.
Visitation for Mr. Willis will be held on Friday, March 26, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held graveside at Forrest Park Cemetery on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 11 a.m., with Rev. James Dean and Rev. William Witcher officiating. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Forrest City Homeless Shelter.
