Mrs. Nancy Gale Franks, age 58, of Forrest City, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Franks was born July 23, 1945, in Forrest City, the daughter of James W. Gilbreth and Helen Wood Gilbreth. She made her home in Forrest City for all of her life, was a nurse, homemaker and member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church.
Mrs. Franks married Ray Franks in 1970 and he survives her along with a daughter, Kim Franks of Forrest City; two sons, Michael Franks and Jamie Franks both of Forrest City; a sister, Vicki Taylor of Forrest City and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Jean Gilbreth.
Visitation for Mrs. Franks will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at the Pine Tree Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
Mrs. Effie Jean Rahmlow, age 64, of Memphis, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Rahmlow was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Blue Mountain, Miss., the daughter of Edgar Carson and Lettie Akins Carson. She lived in Memphis for most of her life and was a housewife.
Mrs. Rahmlow married William K. Rahmlow and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by a son, William B. Rahmlow of Forrest City; one daughter, Chante Phillips of Memphis; a sister, Lila Miller of Memphis and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Rahmlow will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery on Wednesday, March 10, 2004.
