Jewel Dean Jones Good

Mrs. Jewel Dean Jones Good, age 82, of Forrest City, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Crestpark Nursing Home.

Mrs. Good was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Palestine the daughter of Samuel Jackson Jones and Jenetta Dover Jones. She lived in Palestine for most of her life, was a housewife and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.

Mrs. Good married Jack Good in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Ellen Edmondson of Forrest City and Polly Brown of Olive Branch, Miss.; a stepdaughter, Rita Cox of Cordova, Tenn.; two stepsons, Johnny Good of Conway and Ricky Good of Palestine; two sisters, Lois Jones Johnson of Little Rock and Patsy Howton of Palestine; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation for Mrs. Good will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 1004, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Artie Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be to the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City or the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Palestine.


Virginia E. Kosser

Virginia Elizabeth Kosser passed away on Friday, May 7, 2004, at the age of 84. She was a former resident of Gonzales, Texas, Forrest City, Ark., and most recently New Braunfels, Texas. She was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Charlotte, Ark., to Marvin B. and Esther Churchill Fallis. Her husband of 51 years, Charles E. Kosser Sr., preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, Charles and his wife Christy of Bastrop, Texas, Tom and his wife Nancy of New Braunfels, and Mike and his wife Mary Lena of Gonzales. She also is survived by her brother, Charles Lynn Fallis and his wife Betty of Tucker, Ga., sisters, Mary Helen Dobbins of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Charlotte Smith and her husband J.B. of Marianna, Ark.; granddaughters, Kim Winship and her husband Eric, Cindy DuBois and her husband Andrew, Jennifer Cook and her husband Cory, Kelly Williamson and her husband Bill, and Pam Kosser; as well as 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville, Ark., May 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service conducted by the Rev. William Witcher is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. May 12 at Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville, followed by a graveside service at Charlotte Cemetery in Charlotte.
