Mr. Ernest Edward "Ernie" Stroud, age 36, of Marianna, died Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Mr. Stroud was born Jan. 27, 1968, in Forrest City, the son of Kenneth Edward Stroud Sr. and Mary Jane Stroud. He was a first mate with Lawson-Lawson Tug Boat and was a member of the McElroy Baptist Church.
Mr. Stroud is survived by his father of Brinkley; his mother of Marianna; a son, Jackson Ragan Stroud of Marianna; two brothers, Tim Stroud of Paragould and Ronny Stroud of Palestine; and a sister, Sharon Webb of Marianna. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Stroud Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Stroud were held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 in the Chapel of Roller Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna. Burial followed in Johnston Cemetery in Wheatley.
Mr. Curtis Louis Summers, age 73, of North Little Rock, died Friday, May 21, 2004.
Mr. Summers was born March 20, 1931, in Jonesboro, the son of Lee Summers and Emily Metcalf Summers. He was retired from KC Foods of North Little Rock and was a member of the Life Line Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Mr. Summers is survived by his wife, Shirley Summers; two sons, David Summers and Craig Summers; a brother, Elmer Metcalf; two sisters, Lettie Wilkinson and Lois Eason; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Summers; and two brothers, Buddy Summers and Leslie Summers.
Funeral services for Mr. Summers were held on Monday, May 24, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock with Dr. Don Chancellor officiating. Burial followed in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
