Mr. Ruben Wooden, age 66, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Wooden was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Tupelo, Miss., the son of Anderson Wooden and Susie Parchman Wooden. He is survived by two daughters, Corzella Wooden of Chicago, Ill., Eve Wooden of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a son, Ruben Wooden of Joliet, Ill.; three sisters, Delores Cummings of Marianna; Dorothy Hall of Forrest City and Odessa Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Ivory Wooden of Robbin, Ill., George Wooden of Memphis and Anderson Wooden of Forrest City; one grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Wooden will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church with Rev. S.W. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
