Mrs. Wanda Andrews Anderson, age 72, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Anderson was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Elgin, the daughter of Lige Dunavion and Addie Plemmons. She was a retired deputy clerk with the Lee County Circuit Court Clerk's office in Marianna. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Curtis Anderson of Forrest City; a daughter, Kathi Walker of Brickeys; a step daughter, Debbie Feagin of Forrest City; two sons, Dale Andrews of Marianna and Robert E. Andrews of Searcy; a sister, Willa Dean Spath of Marianna; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Andrews and a brother, Lavell Dunavion.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna with Rev. Clay Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna. The family requests memorials be made to the Good Hope Baptist Church of Forrest City.
Mr. Ruben Wooden, age 66, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Wooden was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Tupelo, Miss., the son of Anderson Wooden and Susie Parchman Wooden. He is survived by two daughters, Corzella Wooden of Chicago, Ill., Eve Wooden of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a son, Ruben Wooden of Joliet, Ill.; three sisters, Delores Cummings of Marianna; Dorothy Hall of Forrest City and Odessa Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, Ivory Wooden of Robbin, Ill., George Wooden of Memphis and Anderson Wooden of Forrest City; one grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Wooden will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church with Rev. S.W. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
