Tina Reneé Douglas Ellis

Mrs. Tina Reneé Douglas Ellis, age 36, of Wynne and formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Ellis was born Jan. 30, 1968, in Forrest City, the daughter of Thomas Douglas and Lou Rice Douglas. She was a 1986 graduate of Forrest City High School and received her degree in teaching at Arkansas State University. She had been a teacher at Wynne Junior High School for the past two years and was a member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ellis married Brian W. Ellis in 1988 and he survives her along with her parents of Forrest City; a son, Colton Ellis of Wynne; a daughter, Ashley Ellis of Wynne and three brothers, John Douglas of Colt, Shane Douglas of Cherry Valley and Adam Douglas of Forrest City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellis were held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in the Chapel of Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne with Bro. Charles Bradley and Bro. Andy Price officiating. Burial followed in Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wynne.


Landon K. Huffstuttler

Logan Neal Huffstuttler

Landon K. and Logan Neal Huffstuttler, the infant twins of Keith Huffstuttler and Tracy Huffstuttler both of Wynne, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

The infant twins were born Nov. 5, 2004, and are survived by their parents; one sister, Haley Huffstuttler of Wynne; maternal grandparents, Bob Gilmer and Mildred Gilmer both of Wynne; paternal grandparents, Linda Bright of Forrest City and Ted Huffstuttler and Dorma Huffstuttler both of Colt; and maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Dearing of Wynne.

Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Lindsey Cemetery in Forrest City, with Bro. Archie Mason officiating. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne was in charge of all arrangements.


Martha Ann Thomas

Mrs. Martha Ann Thomas, age 74, of Wynne, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.

Mrs. Thomas was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Wynne, the daughter of Cornelius Burrah Jarvis and Mattie Cason Jarvis. She was a lifelong resident of Cross County, past president of the Crowley's Ridge Ladies Golf Association and the Town and Country Garden Club. Mrs. Thomas was also a member of the PEO Sisterhood Chapter AY; former choir director of Parkin First United Methodist Church where she was a member, Cub Scout Leader and a member of the Parkin PTA. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wynne and a housewife.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by a son, William Jarvis Thomas of Wynne; a daughter, Ann Dawes Thomas of Wynne and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Thomas in 2003; a brother, Donald B. Jarvis and a sister, Mary Ellen Jarvis Maki.

Visitation for Mrs. Thomas will be held on Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kernodle Funeral Home in Wynne. Funeral services will be held graveside on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at 10 a.m., at Cogbill Cemetery with Rev. Bill Eason officiating. Memorial services will be held following funeral services at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Wynne.
