Mrs. Donna Elizabeth Burke, age 84, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at the Beverly Health Care Center in Searcy.
Mrs. Burke was born July 7, 1920, in Russell, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. General Butler Steele. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life, was a housewife, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Mrs. Burke married Jack Burke and he preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by a son, Billy Reed of Van Buren; three daughters, Charlotte Wallace and Cindy Borda, both of Las Vegas, Nev., and Rosemary Burke of California; a brother, Allen Steele of California, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mrs. Burke will be held from 6 to 8 tonight
at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Burke will
be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov.
12, 2004, with burial to follow in Carter Cemetery in Russell.
Mr. Milton Magby, age 81, of Colt, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mr. Magby is survived by his wife, Sallie Magby of Colt; a son, Iveron Magby of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Robinette Chandler of Phoenix, Ariz. and Sharon Butler of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Burnestine Frazier of St. Louis, Mo. and Doris Norris of Statton, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Magby will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004,
in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Wynne. Funeral services
will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at 1 p.m., at the Moore's
Chapel CME Church in Colt. Burial will follow Clark Cemetery.
Mr. George Henry McDaniel, age 63, of Palestine, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. McDaniel was a retired crew leader with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department and an associate pastor of the El Cannon M.B. Church in Palestine.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Erma McDaniel of Palestine; two sons, George W. McDaniel and Casey McDaniel both of Palestine; five daughters, Marquazett Fingers and Vivian Hawkins both of Little Rock, Constance Collier of West Memphis, Vesta Mullins of Raleigh, N.C. and Carol Brown of Palestine. He is also survived by two sisters, Arbezinia Valentine and Sirlemon McCorkle both of St. Louis, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation for Mr. McDaniel will be held on Friday, Nov. 12,
2004, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home in
Wynne. Funeral services will on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at 11
a.m., at the El Cannon M.B. Church in Palestine with Rev. Albert
McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in
Palestine.
Mrs. Jimmie Lou Woodworth, age 59, of Jonesboro and formerly of Forrest City, died at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004.
Mrs. Woodworth was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Mississippi, the daughter of Earl Sullins and Skittie Lou Woods Sullins. She was a Baptist and a housewife.
Mrs. Woodworth was preceded in death by two husbands, Gerald Wayne Coleman in 1984, and Herbert Woodworth in 1985. She is survived by her third husband, Lloyd Vail of Jonesboro; two sons, Randy and Carl Coleman, both of Jonesboro; one sister, Maxine Crouch of Tupelo; one brother, Bobby Dale Sullins of Memphis and four grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Woodworth will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Stevens Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Memphis National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
