Mr. James M. "Mickey" Purser, age 60, of Forrest City, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Purser was born Jan. 23, 1944, in Forrest City, the son of William E. Purser and Geneva Downey. He had made his home in Forrest City for all of his life, was a truck driver and a Baptist.
Mr. Purser is survived by his mother of Forrest City; two sisters, Regina Nicholas and Sigrid Karlson, both of Forrest City; a brother, Glenn Pipin of Forrest City; one stepsister, Ruth Ann Haycraft of Forrest City; two stepbrothers, Jerry Haycraft and Billy Haycraft, both of Forrest City, and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Mr. Purser will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
