Mrs. Lillian Dooley Hamilton, age 82, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton, born Jan. 12, 1922, in Forrest City, was the daughter of William G. Dooley and Addie Leatherwood Dooley. She made her home in Forrest City for all of her life and worked for Eaton Corporation for 19-years. She later worked with her husband, Ben T. Hamilton Sr., at Hamilton Oil Company. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hamilton married her husband in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by a son, Ben T. Hamilton Jr. of Forrest City; a daughter, LaNan Goodwin of Memphis; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Don Hamilton, in 1993.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Hamilton will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at 2 p.m., at Forrest Park Cemetery with Rev. Clay Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to charity.
