Mrs. Martha Louise Harris, age 67, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.
Mrs. Harris was born Dec. 17, 1936, in Madison, the daughter of Calvin Smith and Janie Woodall Smith. She lived in St. Francis County for most of her life and was retired from General Industries.
Mrs. Harris married Calvin Harris in 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by a son, Larry Martin of Forrest City; two daughters, Linda Daniels of Colt and Bonnie Powell of Forrest City; one brother, Robert Smith of Forrest City; one sister, Lois Pipkin of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was also proceeded in death by a brother, Franklin Smith in 1991.
Visitation for Mrs. Harris will be held on Monday, Nov. 22,
2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services
will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel
of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
Mr. R.C. Harris Sr., age 59, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, at Methodist Hospital Central in Memphis.
Mr. Harris, born Nov. 21, 1945, was the son of Lonnie Harris Sr. and Hattie Louise Lloyd Harris. He was a retired assembly worker with Yale Hoist and is survived by his wife, Mary Harris of Forrest City; four daughters, Sharon Harris and Denise Harris, both of Dallas, Texas, Stephanie Smith of West Memphis and Christy Harris of Jonesboro; two sons, R.C. Harris Jr. of Dallas, Texas and Deonte Harris of Forrest City; three sisters, Dora Dumas of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Heard of Wynne and Lawrencetta Harris of Tennessee; a brother, Paul Harris of Dallas, Texas and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Harris will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 23,
2004, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Salem M.B. Church. Funeral services
will be held 11 a.m. following the visitation with burial to be
held in Paradise Garden in Edmondson. Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home
of West Memphis is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jimmy Robbins, age 55, of Forrest City, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Overton Healthcare Center in Memphis.
Mr. Robbins was born Nov. 18, 1949, in Forrest City, the son of Leroy Robbins and Lena Robbins. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a factory worker.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his mother of Forrest City; a brother, R.L. Robbins of Forrest City; and one sister, Martha Riggs of Forrest City.
Funeral services for Mr. Robbins were held graveside at Lindsey Cemetery in Forrest City on Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. Stevens Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
