Dwight David Lowe

Mr. Dwight David Lowe, age 53, of Forrest City, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004.

Mr. Lowe was born Nov. 2, 1952, in Forrest City, the son of Barbara Jean Lowe and James Lowe. He was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended the Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Ala., earning a bachelor of science degree in 1975. He attended graduate school at Morehouse University where he received a degree in chemistry with a minor in mathematics and economics. He worked as a unit manager for McDonald's in Compton, Calif., an auditor for Holiday Inn in Tuskegee, Ala.,and a laboratory technician in Alabama. He was also a mathematics instructor, tutor and laboratory supervisor at East Arkansas Community College, an insurance agent, tax preparer and member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

Mr. Lowe is survived by five sons, DeMeko Duckworth, Effrin Kirkland and Marlo Kirkland all of Forrest City, Dwight Lowe Jr. and Ian Lowe of New York; two sisters, JoAnn Maddox and Paulette Hicks both of Indiana; and four brothers, Maurice Lowe of West Memphis, Kenneth Lowe and Danny Lowe of Little Rock and Calvin Lowe of Indiana. He was preceded in death by a brother, Isaac "Ike" Lowe.

Visitation for Mr. Lowe will be held on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at Forrest City Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at 10 a.m.
