Mrs. Emma Lockhart Higgins, age 92, of Forrest City, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004.
Mrs. Higgins, born Aug. 27, 1912, in Pontotoc, Miss., was the daughter of Edwin Lockhart and Maude Stockton Lockhart. She made her home in Forrest City for all of her life and was a Presbyterian and a housewife.
Mrs. Higgins married John T. Higgins in 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She is survived by two sons, J.T. Higgins and Herman Higgins, both of Forrest City; two daughters, Gladys McKnight of Gadsden, Tenn., and Donna Davis of Forrest City; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Higgins will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at 2 p.m. in Stevens Chapel with Rev. J.E. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
