Elise Irene Cordell

Mrs. Elise Irene Cordell, age 88, of Marion, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Johnson-Hobson Health Care in Marion.

Mrs. Cordell was the former owner/operator of Cordell Music Center and a charter member of Trinity and Avondale M.B. Church. She is survived by a son, Tommie Cordell of Heth; a sister, Leona Cover of Memphis; a brother, Roscoe H. White of Searcy; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Cordell.

Visitation for Mrs. Cordell will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association.


Ann Squashic

Mrs. Ann Squashic, age 81, of North Little Rock, died on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004.

Mrs. Squashic, a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, is survived by four daughters, Lana Crews of West Memphis, Barbara Francis of North Little Rock, Sharon Shaw Young of Allen, Texas, and Mary Susan Entwhisle of Lakewood, Wash.; a son, John W. Squashic Jr. of Rahway, N.J.; two sisters, Lorraine Broach of Sherwood and Alean Clark of Forrest City; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.

Visitation for Mrs. Squashic will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Huson Funeral Home, in Sherwood with Bro. Ray Armstrong officiating.
