Bonnie J. Chapman

Mrs. Bonnie J. Chapman, age 64, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at her home in Forrest City.

Mrs. Chapman, born Jan. 25, 1940, in West Helena, was the daughter of Phillip Lofton and Beatrice Jackson Lofton. She lived in Forrest City for most of her life and was a night auditor for Holiday Inn. Mrs. Chapman was also a member of the Forrest City Church of God.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by two daughters, Laura Keller and LaNelle Bennett, both of Forrest City; four sisters, Connie Brown, Janet Duncan and Kathy Clark, all of Forrest City and Phyllis Reagan of Marion; a grandson and a great-grandson.

Visitation for Mrs. Chapman will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home with burial following in Salem Cemetery.


Roberta Clayborn

Mrs. Roberta Clayborn, age 90, of Forrest City, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Clayborn, born Aug. 5, 1914, in Kemper County, Mississippi, was a retired nurse's aide at Forrest Memorial Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Parks and Dorothy Faulkner, both of Forrest City; a sister Mary F. Burton of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Clayborn will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Clay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Days Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Curtis Rolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest City Cemetery.
