Eloise Colvin

Mrs. Eloise Colvin, age 73, of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City. Mrs. Colvin was born July 4, 1931, was a homemaker, cake decorator and member of the Widener Baptist Church.

Mrs. Colvin is survived by her husband, Lawrence Colvin of the home; two sons, James Marcus of Hillsboro, Tenn. and Timothy Marcus of Cherry Valley; a daughter, Diane Hill of Forrest City; two step-sons, Rev. Gerald Colvin and Rev. Dennis Colvin both of Forrest City; one sister, Lela Watkins of Memphis; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Danny Marcus in 2003.

Visitation for Mrs. Colvin will be held on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Chapel of Morgan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.


Joshua Tiswell Jr.

Mr. Joshua Tiswell Jr., age 62, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at the Med in Memphis.

Mr. Tiswell was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Round Pond, the son of Joshua Tiswell Sr., and Clytee Eagerson Tiswell. He was retired from Yale Hoists after working there for 31 years. He is survived by seven daughters, Jacquelin Brook of West Memphis, Jennifer Davis, Janice Tiswell, Tammie Austin, Vieronica McKissick, Shameika Tiswell and Keryn Tiswell all of Forrest City. She is also survived by three sons, Eugene Lynch of Kansas City, Mo., Dwaylon Tiswell and Frederick Tiswell both of Forrest City; a sister, Blonzella Barnes of South Carolina; 33 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Tiswell will be held on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, from 12 to 5 p.m. and a wake will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Both will be held at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at 1 p.m. at New Light M.B. Church with Rev Jessie McClure officiating Burial will follow in Casteel Cemetery.
