Mr. George R. "Buck" Buckingham, age 74, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004.
Mr. Buckingham was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., the son of John Buckingham and Emma St. Clair Buckingham.
Mr. Buckingham is survived by four daughters, Vicki Bouma of Bellevue, Neb., Mary Lynn Buckingham Montgomery of Rogers, Maureen Buckingham McCollum of Forrest City and Paula Buckingham Waymire of Bella Vista; two sons, Steven Buckingham and Mark Buckingham both of Hot Springs; three stepsons, Rick Gray of Houston, Texas, David Gray of Hot Springs and Bobby Gray of Kingsland. He is also survived by one brother, John Buckingham of Lake Geneva, Wis.; two sisters, Isabelle Boldt of Lake Geneva, Wis. and Marie Donner of Harvard, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pat Graves, his second wife, Constance Amelia Beith Buckingham and both his mother and father.
Funeral services for Mr. Buckingham were held on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at Gross Funeral Home in Hot Springs. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs.
Mr. James "Bud" Huey Horton, age 61, of Elwood, Ind., died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Horton was born Jan. 5, 1943, in Wynne, the son of Huey Horton and Arlie Mae Davis Horton. He was employed by the City of Elwood, Ind. Street Department.
Mr. Horton married Karen F. Clouser in 1974 and she survives him along with a son, James Horton Jr. of Elwood, Ind.; a daughter, Kristie Small of Elwood, Ind.; a brother, Bobby Horton of Wynne; a sister, Christine Jolly of Forrest City and one grandson.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at the Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood, Ind. and on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne. Both the Dunnichay Funeral Home of Elwood, Ind. and the Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne were in charge of all arrangements.
