Celebration

The St. Francis County Food Pantry opened its doors Wednesday afternoon with a ribbon cutting and ceremony thanking the community for its support. In the top photo, from left, Yvetta Whitby and Pantry Director LaTwon Whitby show a plaque honoring area residents who made donations in excess of $250 during the fundraising drive that netted more than $30,000. That money was used to match state funds to build the new building. The plaque was presented by County Judge and Pantry board member Gary Hughes.  Photo by Kendall Owens.
