Cross-country journey

Jeana Moore, whose young granddaughter Jada Bascom’s life was saved through a bone marrow transplant, is on a mission to recruit donors to the National Bone Marrow Registry. Moore began her cross-country walk in Seattle, Wash., in October and will continue walking to New York City to raise awareness of the need for donors. Moore is shown just west of the Forrest City city limits on Monday, walking east along Highway 70. Photo by Alan Smith.
