The 25th annual Vo-Tech Barbecue will take place this evening at Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute, and that means a lot of meat has to be prepared. The pork was smoked overnight. Mike Partain, left, and Anita Williams break the pork butts into manageable sizes, before the meat is put through a mechanical chopper to finish the job. Serving in the drive-through line will start at 4 p.m., and the line for dining on campus will open at 5 p.m. The Cummins Prison Band will provide entertainment. Photo by David Nichol.
