Hazardous driving

Drivers on Interstate 40 found themselves dealing with hazardous conditions this morning after winter weather hit the area. In the top photo, a pair of Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department trucks lead traffic with one distributing sand and salt and the second directing traffic. In the bottom photo, a FedEx truck overturned on I-40 early this morning, scattering packages across the median on the interstate and trapping the driver, Terry Sales. Sales was transported to Forrest City Medical Center for treatment after being extricated from the truck by emergency personnel, according to officials. Photo by Kendall Owens.
