The St. Francis County Wildlife Day was held on Friday at the Wiley T. Jones Fairgrounds. The event, which was sponsored by the SFC Conservation District, offered fifth graders in the county information from several organizations including Village Creek State Park, the SFC Master Gardeners and the Natural Resource Conservation District. Funding for the day was provided through fines collected by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Maggie Howard and interpreter with Village Creek State Park shares animal pelts with the students.
