Making the transition

The transition between current St. Francis County Treasurer Brent Ponder and newly-elected treasurer Tammy Talley, seated, has begun at the SFC Courthouse. Ponder and his chief deputy R.C. Payne, also pictured, are including Talley in their work on the final tax settlement. Talley will take over as county treasurer on Jan. 1 for Ponder, who did not run for reelection.
