Renovations and reminders

A year after the 2011 floods, some people are still trying to recover. The Willis Temple Church in Madison has been the site of a major renovation after the St. Francis River put more than a foot of water in the building. According to church member Earl Puckett, above, the church has been holding services in Marianna, but hopes to move back in this month. A faded waterline that can be seen on the front door serves as a reminder of how high the water got. Photo by Alan Smith.
