Shadowing

Alex Utley, a student at Lincoln Middle Academy of Excellence, took part in a shadow day today at the school. Utley was one of about 50 students chosen to follow a teacher or staff member at the school to get a sense of what it is like to work as an adult. Utley shadowed LMAE math and science teacher Susan Flowers, and is shown grading papers. He was also allowed to lead a science activity. Photo by Alan Smith.
