Area mayors meet with county officials

Meeting with mayors: Area mayors met with elected county officials Wednesday in a county intergovernmental cooperation council meeting at the courthouse. The meeting was the first held under the administration of St. Francis County Judge Gary Hughes. Similar meetings are planned for the remainder of the year. Those who attended the meeting, were County Clerk Elizabeth Smith (back to camera), and continuing clockwise from left, County Treasurer Brent Ponder, Hughes mayor Donnie Mooney, Office of Emergency Services coordinator Shane Dallas, County Judge Gary Hughes, Wheatley mayor Larry Nash, County Assessor Craig Jones, Widener mayor Abron Pitts, Earnestine Broadway, with the city of Madison, Madison mayor Bobby Hardrick, Colt mayor Joe Kerr and Palestine mayor Becky Dunn.
