Track, stadium discussed: Forrest City School superintendent Lee Vent, seated, points out some plans for a track which had been proposed as part of a millage package last year, but which was defeated by voters, as track coach Donnie Willis looks on. Vent said the school district is now in a position in which it cannot spend money on athletic facilities. The Advertising and Promotion Commission has come up with a plan which could finance the building, not only of a track but a new football stadium, as well as helping to finance a performing and fine arts center at East Arkansas Community College. A meeting was held Monday to discuss the possibilities. Photo by David Nichol.
