Trial date set: Accused murderer Gordon Randall Gwathney, rear, in orange, appeared in Lee County Circuit Court this morning for a plea and arraignment hearing in connection with the February slaying of Sylvia Reeves and her parents J.O. Mitchell and Evelyn Mitchell at Reeves’ home. Gwathney entered not guilty pleas to three counts of capital murder and two counts of attempted murder in the Feb. 13 shootings.
