Predicted winter weather today into Saturday morning had the Forrest City Street Department on alert this morning. An accident involving as many as six vehicles occurred at the 247 mile marker of Interstate 40 just past the St. Francis County Bridge in the westbound lanes. Law enforcement officials were forced to close down the interstate at least twice during the incident.
