Explosion investigated: A Heth man was killed on Monday when a shed exploded near his home about one mile south of the intersection of Highways 70 and 79, near the St. Francis County line. According to St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May, investigators with Arkansas State Police have determined that the explosion was caused by an acetylene tank stored in the shed. House removed: The Alderson house on North Washington Street is being removed. Herb Stratton of Devereux and Finch of Forrest City operates a bulldozer to put debris into a waiting hauler. Demonstration:The First Baptist Church Distaster Relief Team was in action Saturday, showing local residents just how the team works to feed the needy following disasters. Dinner theater tonight: East Arkansas Community College and the Forrest City Little Theatre will sponsor a dinner theater tonight at the Forrest City Country Club, to benefit the future Fine and Performing Arts Center at EACC.
